Are you wanting to get some hardware from Linux vendor System76 but they don't currently ship to you, or it's expensive to do so? Well, you're in luck! They're coming to Europe. System76 make a lot of hardware including desktops, laptops, servers and a keyboard now too (which I reviewed).
In an interview over on Tweakers (translated), they spoke to System76 principal engineer Jeremy Soller, who confirmed "Laptops and desktops have a lot of restrictions and the costs are higher, so we will start with our Launch keyboard and sell it from a European distribution center, so that the shipping costs and taxes for that market are lower".
This is quite exciting, as their products are generally quite highly rated too, and I know plenty of people in the Linux space personally who use them too. Being able to get my own hands on one of their laptops would be excellent, and I've been lusting over their Thelio desktop case since it was first announced — so looks like I have some saving to do.
When can we expect this to happen? Sometime "in the coming months" Soller said. System76 are working on adjusting their Launch keyboard for ISO versions, and they're looking for storage space to set up their distribution location. They're also working on a smaller version of the keyboard with a Lite version with a 65% layout and no integrated USB 3.2 hub.
Thankfully their laptops are already conforming to the CE marking needed for Europe and they're working on the keyboard layout there. For desktops, they're working towards certification but of course it's far more complicated than a keyboard.
Be sure to also check out our interview with Aaron Honeycutt from System76.
Hat tip to Bumadar.
I'm really glad that they do well and can expand to other markets.

In the Dutch interview from tweakers, they also mention they wanna move to immutable OS. And that they probably cannot do it with Debian packaging. So maybe they move over to fedora or arch?
Do you have a link? I coudn't find it.
Pop!_OS and Fedora Silverblue are currently my most favourite OSes on a Laptop.

I've previously ordered a laptop from System76 before they had a German keyboard layout and learned the hard way that the US layout has less keys.

This has always been the blocker for me when considering laptops from the smaller vendors. Since I write my native language a lot I need to have a 105-key ISO layout at least, and preferably the Nordic one. But it is rare to be able to get.
I fully understand why small vendors might not be able to offer the non-ANSI one, but unfortunately they shut off a lot of markets that way.
Every time I've ever bought a laptop with Nvidia, it always was a headache. I'd take Intel Graphics over Nvidia any day just because it works. But these days everything I buy is all AMD.
I like their lightup keyboard, but I'm not sure how I feel about the layout as others with locale needs have noted.

For me its the other way around, I'm residing in Germany but it's soooo hard to come by an ANSI pc-104 instead of an ISO pc-105 keyboard :(

Since it's behind a paywall (and in Dutch), here is the snippet:
Dus een immutable OS kan niet goed boven op een op Debian-gebaseerd besturingssysteem?
"Als er een immutable Pop_OS komt, dan mag het Debian-packagingmechanisme in zijn huidige vorm ieder geval niet op het systeem staan. (...)"
Through GTranslate:
So an immutable OS doesn't work well on top of a Debian-based OS?
"If there is an immutable Pop_OS, then the Debian packaging mechanism in its current form should at least not be on the system. (...)"
While this fits the rumours I've heard, it seems they're still going to re-use some of their Ubuntu architecture. I'm looking forward to it.
