Another great looking point and click adventure is on the way from Wadjet Eye Games! They just recently teased their latest called Old Skies. They also confirmed on Twitter it will support Linux too and there will be a demo available during Steam Next Fest which happens next week.

"Time Travel is real and history is up for grabs! In this point-and-click, you play Fia Quinn, a time agent for the ChronoZen agency. Your job is to keep close watch on seven travelers who have the desire (and the bank accounts) to sightsee in the past. Some are simply curious. Others have unfinished business to resolve. And they’ve all put down a lot of money for the trip, so it’s vital that you keep them happy while ensuring they follow the rules. But what could go wrong? It's only time travel, after all."

This is looking really great! Some wonderful work on the visuals for this one.

Feature Highlight:

  • Seven eras of history to visit! From the speakeasies of Prohibition to the gangs of the Gilded Age to the morning of September 11th.
  • High resolution 1920 x 1080 graphics! That's 3x higher than Unavowed.
  • Lots of puzzles that require temporal thinking to solve.
  • Death! You CAN die in this adventure game, but time travel means you can try again. And again. And again.
  • Musical score by Thomas Regin (composer for Unavowed and the Blackwell series)
  • Full voice acting! Our largest cast yet.

You can wishlist and follow on Steam.

When it comes to time travel, the limits of "What could go wrong" are literally unimaginable.

The Steam game page doesn't mention Linux support.
I'm always confused when Linux is listed. Does this mean a native port, or are they just saying it will work with Proton

Since it's Wadjet Eye, it's very likely to be native. I believe this game is still using AGS for the engine, and Dave (who basically is "Wadjet Eye Games") recently paid someone to *port all of their AGS library games to native linux builds.

*: AGS supports native linux to begin with, but custom plugins and such don't necessarily; which is why actual porting was a good idea!

Linux icon says Linux native. There's also a Deck support box at the right for many games (a third of my library), which says if it runs under Linux - this may or may not be using Proton.

I was wondering about it the other day, great to see they confirmed Linux support!
The FAQ on Steam confirms it too.

Also if you have issues specifically with the AGS engine, please report the problem on GitHub :)
