Pocket Wheels looks like what you could imagine in your mind when playing with toy cars as a child and it's on the way to Linux with Native support.

A mixture of a 3D platformer and a racing game, inspired by "90s collectathons". In the game you control a toy car that can jump, glide and there's even a grappling hook. The idea is to give you a big playground to race and fly through, just like you always dreamed of right? You get various vehicles to unlock too and there's a number of different rooms each with their own race tracks, objectives and collectibles.

This looks like pure joy. Reminds me a little of classic Micro Machines games!

Speaking on the Steam forum, the developer confirmed that while it works with Proton already they are "working on a native Build for the future" and they're testing it on the Steam Deck too.

Go give it a follow on Steam.

Watching the trailer, I thought it was by the same developer as Snakeybus - the physics seem very similar. I'll keep an eye on this.

. . . You can be a unicorn on a skateboard. I'm not sure if I want to be a unicorn on a skateboard, but I'm still impressed the option is apparently there.

In the demo there sure is stuff to collect, even with light puzzles thrown in. There's also races if you find the starting point.

Demo is still available, so you can give it a spin.

I played the demo during the Steam Next Fest event and I genuinely enjoyed it.
It's made with Unity, the build for Linux had no bugs, even completed the full demo.
Give it a try, as @Anza said the demo is still available!

This reminds me of Club Drive on the Atari Jaguar! A game which most people hated, but I somehow loved, and wished there were more of. One that's better executed would be phenomenal!

Maybe they can make an arena-like map, and add a ball to bounce around, maybe add some goals at either end of the map, and call this mode pocket league? I'd be down for that (:
