Another smaller update is now available for Proton Experimental, the special version of Proton that has all the latest fixes first for you to try. Info: Proton is the compatibility layer you can use on Linux and Steam Deck to run Windows games.
For the June 14th 2022 update, this is newly playable:
- Karmaflow The Rock Opera Videogame - Act I & Act II
You will find these have their video playback fixed:
- POSTAL: Brain Damaged
- Turbo Overkill
- Slayers X Demo
Plus these titles got specific fixes too:
- Fix The Ball displaying error message on the first launch.
- Fix SCP: Secret Laboratory crashing on launch after a game update.
- Fix Bloons TD 6 crashing on touch input.
An additional change is that Proton Experimental will use "copy on write for prefixes on supported files systems". Update: plus, all changes from Proton 7.0-3 that was released later.

- Pick a game and head to the little COG icon on the right.
- Click Properties, then Compatibility on the left.
- Make sure the tickbox is done, then select it from the dropdown.
On a Linux desktop:

You might need to move / delete the prefix also check the proton version then run it.

For what it's worth, I just installed the game under Linux Mint XFCE and first-launching it with Proton Experimental it seems to work perfectly with videos. I did not try with any other proton version, as the Experimental one is currently set to default in my steam settings.
