PayPalAfter a brief stint at number 2 thanks to the popularity of V Rising, the Steam Deck has moved firmly back into place at number 1 on the top sellers list.
Thanks to SteamDB tracking it, we can see that the Steam Deck has been the top seller by revenue for the last 3 weeks. We don't know how many units that is though, since Valve don't allow anyone to see. This means that overall, the Steam Deck has been at least number 1 or number 2 on the global top sellers for around 15 weeks now.
While we don't know the number, we know it's going to be quite high. When you take into account that V Rising hit over 1.5 million sales, Elden Ring still sits in the top-ten and has sold multiple million and…you get the idea. While the Steam Deck costs a lot more, it still means it has sold quite a lot. So the Steam Deck is very much a big success for Valve overall.

It quickly became my own number 1 way to play games. The convenience of it is just simply amazing. I fully expect it to continue flicking between number 1 and 2 for another year yet, which will depend on what big releases appear on Steam to push it down momentarily.

I'm start to worry that when I get one its to obsolete. This chip it's zen2, and amd already has zen3+, and before the end of the year will (probably) have zen4+rdna3 in one chip that surely will be more eficient and powerful.
When steam deck was anuncied it had top of the line technology. Now is starting to be some competition.
But at least steamdeck has linux than the others doesn't have, that gives (for me) a big plus on value.
And its not fair comparing the revenue from steamdeck or a game (even AAA), the steamdeck cost 10x more.

It's not a desktop machine, not even a couch console but a portable device and plenty powerful at that. Also, the GPU will still be very very up-to-date technology. I can see myself using this machine for years to come.
It's not only the cpu and gpu that counts, this thing is a whopping package.

Well let's see. V Rising is 1.5M sales per This article. It's 20$ on steam. The Deck on the top sellers list is 400$ (steam page, top sellers, #7 . So that's 20:1 for the same revenue.
So that's 75,000 Decks for the same revenue. Of course, I'm missing the time frame (all time sales, weekly, etc).
That also assumes some integrity of Valve's numbers with their own product (and any comparison numbers released too). It's their store, they could just be "promoting" it to the top 10, although I find that unlikely at this point.
