Can you believe it? GamingOnLinux is now officially 13 years old and that suddenly makes me feel quite old.
This time last year we were all excited about whatever the "Steampal" turned into, and wow it certainly was better than we all imagined right? The Steam Deck has been a huge boon for everything Linux gaming even pushing us up in the Steam Hardware Survey recently.
If you can donate or regularly support us, here's where you can do so: Firstly, if you wish to get specific reward tiers and access to special things sometimes you can do so on Patreon (which is the best way for us). Unlike many websites, we don't have adverts littering the screen. We do wish to remain that way, however we do have a single spot on our Patreon tiers for a single sponsor to have a small spot before comments.
All other donations, without any special rewards can be done by:
- Paypal Donation or Monthly donation/sub: Supporter - Supporter Plus
- Liberapay
- Twitch - If you have Amazon Prime, you gain a free Twitch sub but you need to re-do it each month.
- Ko-fiΒ - chuck us a coffee or two
You can also buy games using our affiliate/partner links:
You can find all the links to support us on a our dedicated page any time.
As always, our inbox is open if you wish to know anything or you wish us to work on a feature to improve the site. Always happy to hear from readers and game developers. Check out our contact page on how to reach us.
Thank you to everyone who is part of the community, it's great to see so many comments every day and a big thank you to the contributors for a few articles and help moderating.
A longer than usual livestream will be going on today / tonight, so be sure to follow on Twitch!
Thanks for all the time and effort you put in Liam.
This is still my favorite corner of the internet, informative, fun and a great community.
I remember switching to full time Linux in 2014. This site was amazing even at that time.

Me too, roughly 2013/14 moving full time over from Chromebooks.
I say it every year on the site's birthday, but for me there *is no* gaming on Linux without GOL, and without this site here throughout all of those years to shepherd me and all of us through Linux gaming's up and downs, perhaps I don't decide to stay with Linux full time in that early, critical period. Thanks GOL for everything, and here's to the next 13 and more years!

Still the only gaming community worth my time, even if life has kept me away from games lately. I'll be back though, sooner or later.
Quoting: GroganI'd give you a thumbs up emoji, if there was one :-)
You can! But you'll have to resort to unicode symbols: π
Spoiler, click me

Quoting: Liam DaweQuoting: gbudnyThis is great! We were on a .info domain name originally, and for some reason Wayback won't unblock this one despite repeated requests.
I'm pretty sure that I saw somewhere articles from 2009, but I can't find anything:
"Welcome to GamingOnLinux
By Liam Dawe, 1 Apr, 2010"
I tied to use archive.org, but I couldn't do it:
Sorry.
This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine.
Thank you for the answer.
I didn't expect this kind of behavior from them, which is disappointing.
