Consider this your quick tip of the week, as Republique from developer Camouflaj is now free to keep on Steam and it's also Steam Deck Verified! The developer has reached their 10 year anniversary as a studio, so they've put Republique free as it was their first game. A nice little gesture.

"Help a woman named Hope escape from a totalitarian state in this stealth thriller that explores the perils of government surveillance in the Internet Age. Hack into the nation’s elaborate network, take control, and guide Hope to freedom across five episodes "

Here's a quick look at it working on Steam Deck. Looks like the Verified tick is nice and correct on this one, it works really quite nicely right out of the box:

Nice. Played this game on Stadia and found it entirely entertaining. Will be nice to have a spare backup copy on Steam in case Google ever decides to shut Stadia down.

Thanks for the tip.

Republique VR is also up for grabs.
Normally I'd rather stand during gameplay, but this VR title seems better when seated.

Both flat and VR versions become present in your library when you choose to install one of them.

(Also, 10th anniversary. Year (annus) is implicit.)

I remember when this was on Kickstarter! Passed on it since they couldn't promise Linux support, although it did look interesting. So, I was curious to see what they had made since their "first game" - and found nothing on Steam?

Checking their website, it seems they made an Iron Man VR game for Playstation, so not a lot more as of yet.
