Failbetter Games (Fallen London, Sunless Skies) has put up a brand new trailer for the upcoming release of Mask of the Rose. Planned to go live in April 2023, this one is actually pretty exciting.
It will have the masterful story-telling that Failbetter are known for while mixing in a visual novel dating sim in their Fallen London setting. Interestingly, the new trailer was created by Derek Lieu who is known for trailers including Half-Life: Alyx, Psychonauts 2, Firewatch, The Long Dark and a great many more. You can find out more about how Lieu created the trailer in the Failbetter blog post.

Unless the trailer is intentionally misleading, this one promises to dial up Failbetter's normally judicious use of dark humour a whole lot. And I like it.
Dating sims and visual novels aren't exactly my cup of beverage -- I'm more of a non-visual novel kind of guy -- but I might just have to wishlist this regardless.
