Find the new official Steam Deck Docking Station too expensive? Perhaps you might like to take another look at JSAUX, as they've announced another upgraded Docking Station.
Blimey, they need to slow down a bit. I already have their previous normal Docking Stations, which I reviewed and found to be excellent. Plus, I have the Docking Station with an M.2 SSD slot here ready to review (delayed due to sickness on my end).
Now they've launched the Docking Station "HB0702", which brings with it DisplayPort 1.2 so it can more directly compete with Valve.

Frankly, you don't *need* to buy a 'legimate' Windows license to install that operating system. It runs okay without a license and it seems Microsoft is okay letting you use it 'trial-like' until you get around to purchasing your license. They're probably happy enough collecting and selling your telemetry data than not having you using their OS at all.

Personally I went for the official one, simply because it's nice to have the Valve logo on it which matches my deck.
In addition, I feel Valve have done a lot for the Linux community overall, so I'd rather give my money to them as opposed to a company I haven't heard of before who is most likely just aiming to make a quick buck off of Valves success.

What I don't like about JSAUX's solution is that it partially covers the vents.

Why does the USB-C port say "USB-C DP"? DP would imply DisplayPort-out over the USB-C, which I doubt this does. Did they typo "USB-C PD" (Power Delivery)?

It's a joke. Even the idea to have to use another OS to upgrade an accessory is absurd.
