I'd love for this to be different but as far as I'm aware the MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 is the only "off-the-shelf" motherboard with coreboot support with the MSI PRO Z690-A DDR5 being worked on now. While that's now an older 12th gen board I'm at least hopeful that this standardization work around coreboot will ease future motherboard support.

Colour me highly sceptical of the benefits of this carry-over from laptops. This is an extremely competitive area of case/cooler design, making it doubtful that their engineering can approach existing off-the-shelf solutions, that would have had the additional advantage of adhering to standards.

I have the previous gen Thelio and that one is quiet and yet somehow keeps the internal temps down.
