Game store Fanatical also have their own big Black Friday Sale, and they're giving away a copy of one of the best kart racing games on PC — Garfield Kart - Furious Racing (if you join their newsletter). I'm not even joking, it's actually genuinely a very good kart racer and works great on Steam Deck too.
I also really like that Fanatical are now listing the Steam Deck Verified rating on their game pages too, a nice touch.
They have some of the best deals around right now too and some easy lists to get you going:
- Disney Games
- Multiplayer Games
- 505 Games
- Classic Gaming
- Focus Entertainment
- SEGA Deals
- One Dollar Collections
They have the lowest discount yet for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered too, one of the absolute best open-world super hero games ever made with 35% off. Same for Persona 5 Royal, a nice discount there at 38% off.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
This game had perhaps the weirdest review I ever read over on RPS: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/garfield-kart-furious-racing-review

Quoting: davidakYou also have to link your Steam account to get the free Garfield Kart.
QuoteIn order to complete your purchase of Garfield Kart - Furious Racing, you need to link your Fanatical account to an Unlimited Steam account. This is an account that has spent over $5.00 USD in the Steam Store.
Still not sure if the site is legit.
The site is legit, but I don't like this steam account linking bs. Humble does it for some giveaways/deals too, so I just don't claim them. Linking my steam account which has a huge catalog of games to bunch of 3rd party sites...seems like a problem just waiting to happen if one of these sites have a breach or something (I'm not sure how the linking stuff actually works, but I will assume it gives them some control/integration of your steam account, otherwise what's the point).
So in this case, with the game being 92% off, it came out to 63 cents CAD without having to link your account...that's still a good deal so I just chucked them the 63 cents :) You get a code, you redeem the code in the steam, no integration/linking necessary this way, all good :D

Quoting: davidakThese are too many requirements to actually get a "free" game that i never wanted. And all these coupons and offers are too much manipulation.
To delete an account there, you have to open a support ticket. They could just have a button for it, but make it hard.
I'm fine paying a few euros more in Steam sale. Supporting Steam (and their linux gaming efforts) is not the worst thing to do.
The requirements are off-putting for sure; nevertheless I was intrigued -- but then the offer doesn't 'activate' where I live (Turkey); so I'll have to pass.

The redirect links you listed are from an ad tracker company with a bad privacy policy. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but you should just put out the direct link because it's listed on EasyList and 99% of ad blockers use that.

Quoting: whizseInterestingly, Fanatical is nowadays owned by Fandom, Inc. The company founded and run by Jimmy Wales (co-founder of Wikipedia)!
hmm... I'm sure Mr. Wales would agree that the site is mired in too much pointless bureaucratic BS, as though it's run by the gub'mint -- Mr. Wales the libertarian dipshit Ayn Rand fan.

That's not how OAuth works. Doesn't matter if site got breached or became malicious, they don't have access to your account. https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/webapi_overview/oauth
