Hello web slingers! Good news for you, as Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been formally Steam Deck Verified ahead of the release later this week. Yes, it's releasing this week (November 18th), and I didn't realise it was that close either. Going to say goodbye to my backlog for a while again I think.

Sharing the news via Twitter, Nixxes Software said:

Nice to see it get full testing, just like we saw with Spider-Man Remastered. I look forward to playing a good few hours in this one too.

Will you be picking it up? Might want to ensure you've got the space ready, as it will take up at least 75 GB (probably more for us, due to shaders and Proton files). So it might be time to pick a couple to remove ready, unless you have a nice big SD Card.

I'll be doing my usual video of such a big release, should be up later on release day.

Dang, haven't even played the previous Spider-Man Remastered
And again so cool to get former Playstation exclusive titles directly Deck verified and thus also (mostly) Linux/Proton compatible.

I hope there's HDR support for Linux soon. I have a PS5 at home and this is one of the games I would prefer playing on the TV. Because of the missing HDR support I would probably still buy the Game for the PS5.

Haven't finished the first Spider-Man release even though I enjoy it. It plays a bit like a less polished Batman Arkham clone. I'll probably wait for this one to go on sale before adding it to my obscenely large game collection.

I'm sure this Miles Morales is a good character and all, but for me, Spiderman is Peter Parker. I've known Peter Parker for nearly 50 years, and I just don't feel right about Spiderman being anyone else.
It's like if someone said "OK, we're doing another LoTR movie, but this time the ringbearer is going to be Merry's cousin Doderic Brandybuck. We think it's time to move on from Bagginses."

I know what you mean.
But have you watched the Spider-Man New Universe movie? And Spider-Man No Way Home?
Both give good explanations, and help with understanding.

Agreed. Then I watched "Into the Multiverse" and I realised I was wrong. So very wrong.

"...hey"
and
"He CAN'T DO IT on demand!!"

Such a good film. Morales is amazing.
