Star Labs announced their new StarFighter a little while ago, but it seems it only just recently went live on their actual store with the full info on what to expect from it.
However, they don't seem to have quite settled on what screen it will have. Currently, it advertises a 16-inch 2560x1600 QHD 165 Hz IPS matte screen, but writing on Twitter it seems they are split between that or a 4K version and so the final build might end up with a 4K 60Hz screen instead.
It features a choice between Intel Core 12th generation and AMD Ryzen 7 processors, up to 64GB RAM, up to 18 hrs battery life, a removable webcam, a wireless killswitch, a backlit keyboard, a full-glass haptic trackpad, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C With Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 for charging and expansion, HDMI, 3 x full-size USB 3.0 port, Micro SD slot, coreboot and EDK II support, a 65 watts over USB-C charger and easy Firmware updates.
As usual, you'll also be able to configure it with various Linux distributions including Ubuntu, elementaryOS, Linux Mint and more. It's not available for a few months yet with no exact date set it seems.

Why the fuck would you want 4k on a 16" screen? Especially as fractional scaling isn't exactly issue-free yet either...There's your answer: 4K is 1080p, but any higher or lower resolution should work, too.
With 2560x1600 you're forced to use fractional scaling at a "relative" low resolution (e.g. Apple is closer to 4K, too).
Does it say anywhere if they're using the Ryzen 6000-series?

With 2560x1600 you're forced to use fractional scaling at a "relative" low resolution (e.g. Apple is closer to 4K, too).
With 2560x1600 you are not forced to use scaling at all. But your point isn't invalid, haven't thought of that.
Still, i think the vast majority would prefer 165hz 1600p over meager 60hz 4k that is scaled down to 1080p ;)

Even if fractional scaling works perfectly with no performance penalty, who favours 4K over 165hz anyway? Anyone favouring 4k over 165hz is out of their mind, especially for a small screen.

I was looking at the star book but they didn't have AMD version in stock. Was wondering how much it would be to import an aura from tuxedo to the UK in terms of tariffs etc...

Thunderbolt comes with Intel only, another recent trend that doesn't seem to change. Upgrading the CPU to something worthwhile carries a hefty premium, too.
I'll totally take the 4K screen over the 2560 one. The former will be fine with 2x scaling, the latter will require fractional, which is too annoying to use still.
It's really a shame the UK is outside the EU now, this will make importing it much more complicated (and potentially costly if customs get their hands on it) than it should be.
