Tis the season to buy more games to keep warm and all that. The GOG Winter Sale is live, and you can get a free copy of Ghost of a Tale.

You have about 70 hours at time of writing to claim it, so don't sit around twiddling your thumbs or you might miss it. What is it? Ghost of a Tale is an action-RPG game in which you play as Tilo, a mouse and minstrel caught up in a perilous adventure. The game takes place in a medieval world populated only by animals, and puts an emphasis on immersion and exploration. It features stealth elements, disguises, conversations with allies and enemies, and quests.

As for the Winter Sale you know the drill — lots going for cheap! A mixture of Native Linux games, and those you can run with Wine with help from the likes of Lutris, Bottles or Heroic.

Some quick links for you:

Along with this sale, GOG has also integrated OpenCritic to their game pages to give you another way to see what to expect from each game. GOG say it's being "live tested" so it might not yet appear for some of you.

See the Winter Sale for all the deals.

I'm not really much of an RPGs person, but I had to grab this - mouse stories and movies like An American Tail, The Rescuers, Stuart Little, and some of the Redwall books rank amongst my all time favourites (and you could probably put the likes of The Borrowers adjacent to that, too, due to a shared perspective on the world), so the lore behind this one is appealing. Thanks for the heads-up, Liam!
