Another chance for you to get a free game, and perhaps take a look at some tasty discounts too with the GOG Winter Sale 2022 now giving away Broken Sword: Director's Cut.

"Uncover the identity of a jester assassin. Unlock the legend of the Knights Templar. Unravel a plot as twisted as the catacombs you're about to prowl. As George Stobbart, an American in Paris, you find it odd when an accordion-playing clown darts out of a cafe clutching a briefcase. Moments later, you're sent flying, violently thrown through the air by the force of a massive explosion, right into a sinister, global intrigue. The coveted contents of that briefcase? A fiercely guarded manuscript penned by a clandestine medieval order - the Knights Templar. Reveal the truth behind a secret conspiracy and save the world from the Templars' evil plan." — Broken Sword: Director's Cut.

You have about two days left to grab it!

GOG also had a bunch more released on their store that include: RollerCoaster Tycoon, Tempest 4000, Dragonview, Impossamole, Final Frontier and more.

Some other deals they've recently noted include:

  • A Rogue-like 2-pack 65% cheaper than usual (including Curse of the Dead Gods and Loop Hero).
  • An Exploration 2-pack with a -78% discount (including Journey to the Savage Planet and Aquanox Deep Descent Collector’s Edition).
  • Atari Build Your Own Bundle with increased discount when buying 5+ games and even more when buying 10+ games.
  • Indie Build Your Own Bundle with 50 titles on increasing discount – the more games you buy (or already own), the discount increases (3% more if you buy or own 10 titles and 5% more if you buy or own at least 20 titles).

Ah, finally a giveaway that has a Linux version

But (of course) I already own it
I run into the "already own it" problem a lot for giveaways! I've only got what? 500 or so on steam, 100 or so on GOG and a bunch on itch.io so it's not really a lot of games, but the problem is a lot of the giveaways and bundles tend to be repeats and such
