Getting some Beneath a Steel Sky vibes off of this one. With a demo available on Steam now (with Native Linux support), Full Void looks worth a look.

More about it: "Set in a dystopian future, Full Void is a 2D Cinematic Puzzle Platformer telling the story of a young teenager alone in a hostile world controlled by a rogue AI. Fight your way through puzzles and obstacles to uncover the story that surrounds this broken, run down society, where only children are still free. But for how long?"

Developed by OutOfTheBit Ltd, who also made Super Arcade Racing and Super Arcade Football. Check out their brand new trailer below because it honestly look awesome, that's some really great pixel-art!

That looks niice!

(And to the CRT fans: It's got an optional, adjustable CRT filter built in!)

Can’t watch the video because Youtube is loading a capture inside the video space…

Those are some nice, heavy Delphine Software / Amiga vibes! This is one I'll be keeping an eye on

EDIT: How on earth does one get the demo to install on Steam Deck?

Quoting: CybolicHow on earth does one get the demo to install on Steam Deck?

Or on Linux in general for that matter. I went to the game page in Steam and there's no demo button at all.

I ended up going to the SteamDB.info page (in desktop mode) and using the install button there - that worked.

This game is quite different from the other PC games (racing, football and mobile) published by OutOfTheBit Ltd. The fact that protagonist is a young boy, he is being hunted and the are puzzles and platforming; I was reminded of INSIDE. I enjoyed the 30 minutes I played the demo. Of course, I got stuck on one of the puzzles, but hope to get back to it at some point and have Wishlisted the game.

There is. Maybe try Ctrl-F. There seem to be two places to put a demo, this is using the "other" (less usual) one.

It took me 31 minutes to beat the demo, I died 23 times, or about once every 80 seconds.

The full game might need a higher difficulty level, because that's way above my usual average for platformers...
