Property Pro is an upcoming game from SimDevs, with an aim to capture the classic feel of SimTower from the 90s. With a hint of the character styling from Prison Architect and RimWorld, the idea sounds good.

You'll get to build a properly from scratch or purchase a used one, which may came with a whole bunch of hidden issues you need to deal with. Lots of different types of rooms to build, special guests, surprise inspects and many other challenges are planned to be included.

Writing on Twitter, the developer said:

As a child, I was captivated by SimTower even though I didn't fully understand how to play the #game. Now that I'm older, my goal is to recreate what it felt like playing the game from those cherished memories.

That really spoke to me, I remember enjoying what little of it I understood back then too…

Seems like it's worth keeping an eye on, if you love management style games.

You can follow it on Steam. It will have Native Linux support just like their previous game Area 86.

I loved SimTower, and Project Highrise is a great take on the tower simulation (without the elevator issues from SimTower, thank you). I am curious how this compares.

P.S. To those interested - Project Highrise has a native build and it worked well for me a few years go

I don't think I ever played the inspiring game, but it does remind me of an old, 2D game with high-rises where I think you played as a detective or police officer.

Yes, Project High rise its native. Why don't put it on a steam page?
I was away of my computer and I couldn't check.

We update the Linux build every time the PC/Mac version gets updated, but the same old disclaimer still applies - we still know nada about Linux distributions. :)

they have a linux build, but pretty much untested

I used to love Sim Tower as a kid, I'll have to keep an eye on this.
