I don't play many visual novels (mostly a whole zero) but I do love when games sprinkle it in with other things like the sports management game Roller Drama. The game is certainly inspired and looks a lot like Roller Derby but it's not a simulator of it, and the actual gameplay is quite different according to the developer.

Set in a dystopian alternative world "where things are going… slightly worse than they are here", you watch as personal dramas rage on, manage matches and players and much more.

Here we go again. :-) You should put this in your "about the author" box, it'd save you having to type this every time you write about a VN. You know they're not synonymous with sex and nudity, right?

I don't say it every time I write about a Visual Novel? And yes, I am of course well aware of that.

Is this some sort of projection? I think everyone knows they're not at all synonymous with sex and nudity - both the ADV and NVL style/format has been more and more used outside of its original context and people just refer to those format as "visual novel".

Which is fine, the genre/medium is ever evolving, and as a proud VN player I'm just happy that people are getting into/interested in the genre regardless of where they came from and which niche they're into. OELVN in particular really needs all the help it could get.

Which reminds me I have Werewolf still unplayed. I made the mistake of getting it from GOG and if it's not on my game list on the Steam Deck it doesn't exist...
