Remember all the hype over the announced Team Fortress 2 update? Well, it seems Valve edited the announcement silently and hoped no one would notice.
Originally the announcement mentioned it would be an "update-sized update" and now it says it's a "holiday-sized update". It also said before "and who knows what else?!" which has been completely removed, which significantly downplays the excitement over it.
Still should be quite fun for TF2 players with the new "items, maps, taunts, unusual effects, war paints, and other community-contributed fixes" but still — a little odd to have such a silent edit. Perhaps the original writer of the announcement was themselves a bit too excited about it, with someone else at Valve gave them a quiet word to not hype people up over it too much?
We'll find out later this year when it releases. Hopefully it won't be the last, would be nice to see Valve continue to upgrade their classics like TF2 don't you think?
Quoting: minidouOf course, still no mention of anti botting and anti cheating update.I haven't played in few years now, but wasn't there some big change or update in that direction last year or so? Or has it gotten worse again since then?
