Slime 3K: Rise Against Despot is a fresh announcement from Konfa Games and TinyBuild, a spin-off from their earlier game Despot's Game: Dystopian Battle Simulator that I quite enjoyed. This time it's going to be an action rogue-lite, and it could be pretty chaotic from the screenshots.

More about it: "In an attempt to mass produce artificial pink humans, evil artificial intelligence d’Spot’s gooey formula accidentally mutates, becoming self-aware. Humans, robots, and monsters pounce on you in an endless stream. Luckily, you can grow and develop new weapons to transform everything into mincemeat like a giant gelatinous meat grinder."

Game Features:

  • Strategy. Your decision-making skills are more important than your ability to press buttons at the right time.
  • Snowball. Enemies are getting twice as strong every minute, which means you have to be even more powerful! Become the ultimate jelly death machine!
  • Rewards. A huge amount of content unlockable between sessions allows you to constantly experiment with new builds and overcome new challenges.
  • Fun. It's fun to watch little pink humans pop when you crush them!

On Twitter, their confirmed their plan for Linux support on this one too.

“Slime 3K is the next chapter in the Despotism universe, but with a brand new twist,” said Nikolay Kuznetsov, Game Creator, Konfa Games. “We wanted to add an alternative way to explore the world of d’Spot while implementing both new and familiar mechanics to reinvigorate a chaotically compelling gameplay experience.”

Once they released some footage for a trailer, I'll let you know.

You can follow it on Steam.
