Valve's popular Linux-powered gaming handheld, the Steam Deck, has officially crossed over the 8,000 mark for games noted to be Playable or Verified.
Going by the list on SteamDB, which includes those titles no longer listed for sale on Steam but still playable if you own them the current count at time of writing is 8,003. Here's a breakdown by category:
- Verified: 2980
- Playable: 5023
- Unsupported: 2571
I should note, that even plenty of Unsupported games do in fact work and those numbers only include what have been through Valve's formal Deck Verified system — you can still install and attempt to play anything you want.
Some notable games that recently became Playable or Verified include:
- Asphalt 9: Legends
- Atomic Heart (see my video)
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Construction Simulator (see my video)
- Darkest Dungeon
- OCTOPATH TRAVELER II
- Resident Evil 3
- Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector

- Hogwarts Legacy
- ELDEN RING

Quoting: deathxxxI have Octopath and it runs super smooth and never breaks or bugs.
It's a good-looking game, one I'd probably buy if they ever remove Denuvo. But it's Sqeenix, so I doubt they will, even though there were some reports in the past that Square were moving away from Denuvo.
