Linus Torvalds announced the full release of Linux kernel 6.3, and with it plenty of the usual improvements everywhere.
"It's been a calm release this time around, and the last week was really no different. So here we are, right on schedule, with the 6.3 release out and ready for your enjoyment." — Linus Torvalds
As you might expect from a new release of the Linux kernel, there's support for various new hardware and work towards supporting upcoming hardware too.
Some quick highlights:
- Improved Steam Deck hardware support.
- Improved support for the Logitech G923 Xbox Edition steering wheel.
- Work towards Intel Meteor Lake support.
- Automatic IBRS for AMD Zen 4, to improve Spectre V2 mitigations.
- Logitech B910 and C910 improvements for autosuspend functionality.
- Support for the Logitech MX Master 3S mouse.
- ASUS B650/B660/X670 board support improvements.
- Support for the 8BitDo Pro 2 Wired Controller.
Naturally there's lots more everywhere, the changelog will have you scroll for hours, that's just a few bits that jumped out.
The full changelog is available over here and as usual Phoronix does a nice overview.

What might be the first major Linux distro to adopt it?Arch Linux, Tumbleweed and Pop are usually the pioneers. Maybe Nobara as well but I am not sure.

You can also compile it yourself, but ok it needs some reading. And there are AMD optimized kernels in Arch's AUR as well (already updated to 6.3) https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-amd
