Even with all the talk about 8GB VRAM simply not being enough now for all the new games coming out, we're still seeing multiple launches with it. Now with the AMD Radeon RX 7600 priced at $269.

Announced today by AMD and availability actually tomorrow, May 25th with partners including ASRock, ASUS, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire, PowerColor, Vastarmor, XFX and Yeston.

From the press release:

“Currently, 65% of gamers surveyed are playing at 1080p and the majority are still using older graphics cards, unable to take advantage of the latest performance and visual-enhancing features that deliver the best gaming experiences,” said Scott Herkelman, senior vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit at AMD. “AMD offers a range of graphics solutions at different price points, memory configurations and performance levels to support a variety of gamers’ needs. The Radeon RX 7600 graphics card at US $269 hits the sweet spot for high-performance 1080p gaming. It allows users to enjoy the latest features like AV1 encoding, the AMD Radiance Display Engine and more to take their gaming, streaming and content creation projects to the next level.”

VRAM size aside, the price to performance ratio seems pretty reasonable here. No review from me though, as AMD don't send over hardware ever and don't reply to emails even just to be on their press list either despite repeated attempts. I email them every product launch to complete silence.

Most importantly - what do you make of the specs and price? Will this be your next GPU?

The one I was waiting for! Really decent price. Kind of a no brainer, imo.

Edit: That was before seeing the price drops in older GPUs. Didn't check since I had my Steam Deck... Not sure anymore. I can grab an RX 6600 for 330$CAN or a 6650XT for 380$CAN. Let's wait and see (269$US~375$CAN). Mmmm...

Quoting: MohandevirReally decent price.
Yes absolutely. wow why I'm learning about this from GOL first, that's mad, seems like a next big mainstream card.
Actually a bit tempted to upgrade - gotta wait for reviews though for sure! Never judge on first impression when dealing with products from these giants(AMD in this case).

Well if rtx 4060ti is a fail in various levels, this card join to same group

Personally seems better rx 6700 10gb or 6700/50 xt 12gb and back to rx 7600 as rtx 4060 ti/non ti are stupid cards with stupid price

What're the prices of those? - it all depends on the price. Agreed 4060ti 8GB isn't appealing for its price point.

What I don't like about the AMD cards is the energy efficiency compared to nGreedia, unfortunately. I hope they'll work on this in the next generation.
edit: Power consumption itself is actually rather fine.

6600 non xt pretty much matches it but is cheaper

If intel play good can put in troubles amd and nvidia, only need add to A750 8gb 200us 256bit bus this:

A770 16gb 256bit bus to 300us (this could give rx 6700xt 12gb closer to 250us and rx 6700 10gb in someplace around 230us)

And after this, well begins the game!

I beg to differ. Paying more than 300$ for a GPU is nonsense, for my part. I much prefer the RX7600 at 269$ to the RX6700. Let's wait and see the benchmarks, but usually, generation to generation, the RX7600 should be close to the RX6700, performance wise, at a much lower price... And I'm a 1080p gamer (just got a 27in 1080p 144hz monitor, I prefer higher fps to better resolution, personally). This GPU seems like a perfect match for me.

Top notch quality review AFAIK.

unfortunately there's no comparison to 6600 non XT, care to elaborate with data? I'm interested.

And it actually has rather good power consumption.

300us is too much. only consider 300us but for 16gb like arc A770

respect price RX 6700 non xt can help, have similar tdp of rx 7600 and give 2gb more of vram for.............269us (what a amazon trollin rx 7600 launch )

https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Speedster-SWFT309-Graphics-RX-67XLKWFDV/dp/B0BCL3L6ZG/

because if actually 8gb is doa for higher texture presets in lastest games

Ah! I see what you mean, but it's not the same price on Amazon.ca. Much closer to 350US$.

Edit: The other thing that I look forward to, are the benchmarks for RT. Might be better on 7600... Maybe.
