Hollow Knight and Cuphead fused together in a post apocalyptic setting? Yes please. Exil not only sounds good but it looks the part too. It will also have full Linux support.
"Humanity was wiped out during a massive war. What remains are the robots and androids on the floating islands caused by the destruction of the war. What path will the robots and androids take in a world without their masters. Intense arena battles. Blood pumping, well animated, boss fights. Unique storylines (based upon in-game decisions, multiple endings)." — Mystic Clockwork Studio
I'm especially interested in the music on this one with the composer from Anime series like Fire Force, Cells at Work!, Goblin Slayer and many more. Check out the trailer:

I'm already starting to sweat seeing those boss battles…

You can help fund it on their Kickstarter. They have 36 days left to hit $50,000.
Love love LOVE the look, feel, and sound of what's being shown here - the key-art on the trailer thumbnail looks like something out of a Studio Ghibli movie!
I'm in, I'm in, I'm in.

While I agree the game looks great and am definitely interested in it, sometimes i wonder; will we ever have a different outlook on the future than war, death, destruction and general dystopia?

sometimes i wonder: will we ever have a different Outlook on the future than war, death, destruction and general dystopia? For me at least, this is a change from the norm - I usually lean towards more optimistic games.
I also usually avoid backing games on Kickstarter, having been one of the idiots who got suckered in by Mighty No. 9. Apparently today is a day for exceptions - I really do like how this one looks.

I don't know if it's just me, but I can't seem to get the Like button on this article to work.I don't even know where the button is - 100% serious and online since 2001.

It would've been wiser to wait for completion/reviews. But I get it

I don't even know where the button is - 100% serious and online since 2001.Some ad-blockers prevent it from being displayed, if memory serves. It should appear right above the article's tags, as a small square button with a heart on it next to a similar one with a bookmark symbol on it.

If you happen to be running uBlock, simply clicking the eye icon in the plugin UI to disable cosmetic filtering on this site is enough to bring it back. The button doesn't seem to work right now though.I don't even know where the button is - 100% serious and online since 2001.Some ad-blockers prevent it from being displayed, if memory serves. You'll probably never see me do this again!Hopefully not due to a medical problem on my side
I wonder about that too. It's not just games; when was the last time you saw an optimistic SF movie or book? I can understand why--things are going crappy in the real world. But I myself recently finished writing, and am now at the "fail to get it published" stage, a utopian science fiction novel, partly as a reaction against this trend. Sure, the utopia gets invaded, but it's still a utopia, just a utopia that's getting a bit bombed.Humanity was wiped out during a massive war. What remains are the robots and androids on the floating islands caused by the destruction of the war.

Yes. Now are they going crappy in the (so called) real world because of the programing that everyone has from childhood by these dystopian TV shows, videos, music etc.? Or are the shows, videos, music, literature dystopian because the "real" world is getting crappy? And what can we do to change that - is it influencing the real world to not get crappy? Or rather influencing the popculture that programs our minds since babies? Wouldn't it maybe be beneficial if the popculture influenced the world in a - lets not be crazy here - only slightly bit- less negative way?
Yeah, well now we're getting somewhere where it's better to remain silent
But I myself recently finished writingThat's cool, would be interested in reading if you'd be so inclined.
Cheers

And what can we do to change thatI think the best thing that we can do is to be the change that we want to see. I mean, isn't spreading the love for a shared hobby why we're all here? I think that that's a good start.
Hopefully not due to a medical problem on my side
