I am right now playing it on the deck, and it is perfect for it. Even all the button prompt icons are correct for the steam deck. I need to quick save quite often cause I am rubbish at aiming without mouse, but with gyro it is quite easy.
You don't need to have played the other Syberia games, since the story of this one is fairly disconnected from the others. (and you'll get a video recap anyways).
