Hollow Knight is probably one of the most popular 2D metroidvania action-adventures available on PC and the follow-up, Hollow Knight: Silksong, is looking like it's going to take a while longer to release.
Writing on Twitter, Matthew Griffin from Team Cherry mentioned:
Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong.
We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.
Expect more details from us once we get closer to release.
A shame, but given how people dote on Hollow Knight, perhaps it's best they just take all the time they need and not end up as another rushed-out release like we've seen recently.

I completely agree. Hollow Knight is a masterpiece. I sure hope Silksong can live up to that level of awesome. As long as it comes out while I am still able to hold a controller...
