Hello readers, it's been a while but it's time for a reminder that GamingOnLinux is funded by readers and it would be great to have your support!
GamingOnLinux is run quite differently to most other news sites. We're not littered with adverts everywhere and everything is open for everyone. There's no big backer and we're not part of a network with the same owner like a fair amount of other news sites.
What does this mean? It means we rely on you to keep the lights on! Want to help? Here's how you can:
Firstly, the best way is regular support via Patreon. For Patreon, a suggestion is to pledge around the start of a month, as it charges at the beginning of every month. Sometimes there's special stuff to show early but generally the Patreon is just to have regular funding to keep bringing you the news (and videos on YouTube - you can also be a YouTube Member!).
All other donations, without any special rewards can be done by:
- Paypal Donations or Monthly donation/sub: Supporter - Supporter Plus
You can also bookmark and buy games using our affiliate/partner links (and they really do help!):
You can find all the links to support us on our dedicated page any time.
Thank you for continuing to read and support GamingOnLinux!
A quick extra reminder: you can click every single tag on an article, to show a full feed of articles with that tag. Each tag also has an RSS feed attached to it like these examples with Open Source or Distro News or Native Linux.
Quoting: PenglingI can't see any way to connect to the website, though - just Discord, which I don't use. There should be a page in the control panel. User CP -> Patreon Linking
Quoting: whizseThere should be a page in the control panel. User CP -> Patreon LinkingAhh, brilliant! You are a saint, thankyou!
As you can see, I expected a note on the Patreon page itself, since the Discord part is over there.
EDIT: Cool, done, though for whatever reason I'm not on the supporters page and there's no badge yet. I guess that's a manual thing and I just have to wait?
SON OF EDIT: I figured it out.

Though i don't have a nice supporter tag, i do not care for it either.
Quoting: PenglingI'm glad you mentioned this, because I was patiently waiting for evidently nothing to happen! Ha.Quoting: whizseThere should be a page in the control panel. User CP -> Patreon LinkingAhh, brilliant! You are a saint, thankyou!

That being: There's a checkbox in User CP > Privacy, labelled "Show up as a "Supporter" of GOL if you're eligible (mainly for Patreon)? Untick to hide your Supporter status.". That's how to get the badge to show up.
