For Steam Deck and Linux desktop, Valve has released another Proton Experimental upgrade focusing on fixing up bugs and regressions. They only just released an update for Proton Experimental on June 24th but they're back again because more regressions are being found.
With the June 27th update these issues were solved:
- Keyboard input works again in Football Manager 2023.
- Street Fighter 6 no longer errors between online matches.
- Grounded can host online games again.
Full changelog can be seen here.
How to change your Proton version:
Steam Deck:
- Pick a game in your Library and head to the little cog icon on the right.
- Click Properties, then Compatibility on the left.
- Make sure the tickbox is done, then select Proton Experimental from the dropdown.
On a Linux desktop:
- Right click a game, go to Properties.
- Compatibility on the left.
- Make sure the tickbox is done, then select Proton Experimental from the dropdown.

(I'm sure it's "crap" if it needs Proton workarounds lol)
