Inspired by SNES classics, the JRPG styled Alterium Shift plans to have an Early Access release land on July 6th and it's looking good.

More about it: "Embark on a retro-inspired adventure with Alterium Shift, a classic JRPG featuring immersive 2.5D graphics and pixel art combined with modern gameplay. Choose from three unique characters, each with their own skills and elemental powers to explore the living world of Alteria. Engage in turn-based combat and fun mini-games like fishing as you uncover the secrets of this magical land and shape the outcome of the story with your choices."

With the Early Access release they said it's about 50% done. With a full release expected up until the end of 2023, or into 2024 if some parts like localisation and porting to other platforms take longer. The full version will have configurable controls, full world maps to walk across, a bestiary, more settings (like CRT effects), battle enhancements and just general gameplay improvements.

Looks quite fantastic, excited for this one.

You can try a demo right now on Steam.

This game is on my wishlist. Great to hear that release date is so close. I loved games like secret of mana, YS I, YS II, Soul blazer, Breath of fire and so on. So this is an insta buy for me

This is one I've had my eye on for a while now, glad to hear it's coming soon. Visually it kinda gives me vibes of Golden Sun (and good ol' Chrono Trigger), which I just recently finally got around to finishing the second part of... after a brief break of 20 years >>

Chrono trigger? Aah what wonderful memories it brings me back. It's such a legendary game. Traveling forth and back in time. I wish I could do that. I would change a couple of little things in the past like replacing windows logo with Tux, prevent J.F kennedy's murder in Dallas and cause anarchy in London in mid 80's. Why anarchy? Just for sport and fun! My list of changes in the past would be endless! The more changes in the flow of time the merrier! Ah a bit off topic again. Well also Chrono cross was my favourite at the time. It was a sequel to chrono trigger but somehow I liked the first part more. Ah those times
