Love a bit of colour in your gaming life? JSAUX have two new releases ready to order today with the RGB Docking Station and the RGB transparent backplate for Steam Deck.
Thanks to a partnership with the open source app OpenRGB, you'll be able to easily customize the Dock lighting how you want which is really fun to see. The RGB Docking Station comes in two versions either an 8 in 1 or a 12 in 1. Here's the details on what each has:
8 in 1 ($59.99 / €53.45):
- 1x USB-A 2.0
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x USB-C PD
- 2x USB-A 3.0
- 1x HDMI 2.0
- 1x USB-C 3.0
- 1x IN: USB-C
12 in 1 ($89.99 / €80.18):
- 1x USB-A 2.0
- 1x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1x USB-C PD
- 2x USB-A 3.2
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 1x USB-C 3.2
- 1x IN: USB-C
- 1x 3.5mm audio interface
- 1x TF card slot
- 1x SD card slot
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
JSAUX also mention the 12 in 1 supports 4K@120Hz, providing that one only HDMI or DP port is used.
The other release is their new transparent backplate that comes with RGB lighting as well ($39.99 / €35.63). This backplate comes with it's own battery and light switch, with a USB-C port to charge it up so it won't mess with the power from the Steam Deck itself. It also comes with some slide-over silicone grips for the sides of the Steam Deck.

Quoting: melkemindIt was just a matter of time before someone put RGB on a Steam Deck. It's like the law of PC gaming.Someone already did it. There were a few posts on reddit – even including instructions that were hastily redacted after the SD was bricked due to the increased power draw from the internal connections that were (ab)used.
The glowing eyes were cool. Everything else with that machine was a bad experience though.
Quoting: slaapliedjeOne thing all of the docks are missing is a USB-C Out with display port. This way uou can vave the NReal Air plugged in without an adapter.
HDMI. Absolutely Proprietary.
Quoting: ElectricPrismRight... the NReal Air uses USB-C, but that means you can't have the Steam Deck being powered while using it. If you want power, you have to use the HDMI battery adapter, since HDMI doesn't send a power line... so you are either running out of power on the HDMI adapter, or running out of power on the Steam Deck...Quoting: slaapliedjeOne thing all of the docks are missing is a USB-C Out with display port. I wonder how they got 4k 120 working through HDMI last I checked, you would need HDMI 2.1 for that which doesn't work on the AMD Linux driver

The dock is able to do 4k 120hz, the Steamdeck can't, but you can use something else on the dock for that output
