NVIDIA has released a fresh update to their Vulkan Beta driver for developers with version 525.47.31 now available for testing.
This is their special developer-focused driver series, meant for those who really need the very latest Vulkan extensions and features. Or, for the rare occasion for gamers where they add a Vulkan extension used by say a newer version of Proton / DXVK / VKD3D-Proton. For most gamers, just stick with their mainline driver series.
Here's what's been added:
New:
- VK_KHR_cooperative_matrix
- VK_EXT_depth_bias_control
- VK_EXT_dynamic_rendering_unused_attachments
- VK_MESA_video_decode_av1 preliminary implementation for Ada GPUs
- VK_NV_displacement_micromap updated to version 2
- Vulkan video updates:
- VK_KHR_video_encode_queue version update 8->9
- VK_EXT_video_encode_h264 version update 10->11
Fixes:
- Fix for VK_DYNAMIC_STATE_RASTERIZATION_SAMPLES_EXT
- Fix 64-bit shader disk cache issues

Vulkan dev driver before that had Xid109 problems with Cyberpunk2077. 535.54.03 has been perfect with no complaints from me, except the shader cache seems broken on the latest driver. So games with lots of shaders will compile them every time since the driver has a bug to read them from disk. seems vulkan dev one fixes that but its still on the 525 branch which hasnt fixed the Xid109's i think.
Hopefully new 535 that fixes the shader cache issues will be released soon also.
