The Wandering Village is a wonderful city-builder where you're building on the back of a massive creature. Currently in Early Access, Stray Fawn Studio just released a big watery upgrade. With Native Linux support and a Steam Deck Verified status, it's an easy choice to recommend from my own time spent enjoying the idea.

With the Ocean Update out now it's added a whole new biome to wander through, building upgrades, new decorations, a hostility modifier system, new buildings, new events, new locations and much more. Check out the new trailer below:

They have a lot more planned to add into the game including new biomes, improved villager AI and an improved happiness system, flying merchants to trade with, birds you can tame, more buildings, more events, more locations and the list goes on. Lots of good systems in place they can keep expanding on so I'm keen to see how much more they add in but it's already a really fantastic combination.

Want to win a key? The developer kindly gave two to give away. To enter just leave a comment to say why you wish to win a copy of this game. Giveaway closes 9PM BST, Monday - July 24th.

If you wish to grab it now it's also 25% off on Steam until July 27th.

I'd like to win a key since it's been on my radar for a while and I very much like the idea of it!

I don't wish to win one because I already bought it. I like it, at a sort of instinctive level (the big guy's so cute!), but before I dip into it again I think I'll wait for that improved villager AI. Gets frustrating when they just flat out refuse to build the thing I've made a massive priority because it seriously needs to get built.

Sure, I'm game.

This has been on my wishlist for a while now, and seems like something I'd really enjoy.

Hi!

I wish to win because my son loves these types of games and will get a good kick out of it.

Thank you!

What a great idea to live on a giant creature!
When the earth changed, you need to survive and rebuild life. And that creature would be your only choice. Imagine you are part of it.

I watched movies about rebuilding life and dystopian future, like The Divergent Series and Mortal Engines.
So I wonder how the human life would be in the future.
Like our life today, with electronics and fast vehicles, we just happen to be here.
Maybe "back to nature"?
Or maybe giant creatures will emerge once again. And some of them would be used for mass transportation. Who knows

Looks like fun! And always nice to see all the lurkers sign up for accounts when there is a giveaway - that's what got me to finally do it, way back when!

I want this game because it is unique, it is like farm sim and city building combined with survival, adding RPG/RTS element like research new technologies.

I wish to win a key because otherwise... This would be another game I'll have to buy. And darn Liam. I'm broke already! I need these devs' help to stop trading pencils for games!
