The latest game to ride the boomer shooter craze, Warhammer 40K: Boltgun, has finally attained Steam Deck Verification as of today according to its own Steam Page.
Since release, Boltgun was playable but users reported issues from cut-scenes not playing, the Deck not being recognized as a controller, and inconsistent performance issues. While the game has been reported as fully playable since early July, you still had to install Proton 8. No more however, as Boltgun just runs out of the box with no configuration.

As I was in the midst of a Boltgun run, I downloaded it to my Deck and sure enough the first cutscene played and the Deck was recognized as a controller. Then I went to my last unlocked mission, Chapter 3 Mission 1, which is filled with lava and tons of enemies. Sure enough, Boltgun maintained a smooth 60fps. Which if you're not familiar with Boomer Shooters, maintaining a smooth 60fps is basically a requirement.

That said, this is the kind of game that plays better on Mouse and Keyboard. But that's more of a nitpick and doesn't affect it being able to be played On Deck. Simply put: if you've been wanting to spread the word of the Emperor in an ultra-violent fashion on the go now's your chance.
You can buy it on Humble Store and Steam.

Really, though, it's crazy that the Steam Deck's still not available there. Unless it actually is and a bunch of kangaroos beat up the delivery guys and stole them all, or something.

They used to have the actual battle results thing used for wars on the article several years ago with the result being "Decisive Emu Victory" on it. XD
Quoting: PenglingI would totally be down for that........ As long as its a Boomer Shooter and not a Modern Military Shooter.......Quoting: StoneColdSpiderI do like how this comment thread has been all about dangerous Australian wildlife.......Clearly we need a dangerous Australian wildlife FPS.
