Earlier we reported about how id Software and Nightdive Studios had come together once more to remaster Quake II for a new generation and shadow dropped it at QuakeCon. Well, that was only one part of the festivities as id and Bethesda have put a bunch of their hit games on sale to celebrate QuakeCon, with games from Doom to Hi-Fi Rush receiving discounts.
There's a lot to get through, so for the sake of brevity I'll just drop my recommended deals. Store links and Steam Deck status will be included to save you time:

I'd like to note my criteria for whether they'd be on this list is if I thought they were a worthwhile deal. That's why, despite being on the sale page, I didn't list either Hi-Fi Rush or Quake II Remastered. I like both those games, but I don't think the discount was enough to overshadow the games I listed.
The game I'd recommend is probably Dishonored, it's a meaty Arkane Classic for only 2 dollars. The runner up is Wolfenstein The New Order, it's the game that arguably kicked off this FPS Renaissance we're in now and is an incredible game for 5 dollars.

Off topic for a side note, but I want to inform the author of this article since I read their "about the author" description.
If you currently have a Nvidia or Intel GPU and want a SteamOS-like experience right now then I would just recommend giving Bazzite a try. It's in a pre-release stage right now, but it will come out of that quite shortly with most of the bugs remaining on the Steam Deck variant.
While ChimeraOS is a great project that I would use for other handheld PCs with AMD GPUs, I would go with Bazzite for my desktop/laptop for more functionality and support for a wider range of hardware including Nvidia GPUs.
