Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is an upcoming paid expansion for the open world game from CD PROJEKT RED. Here's all the new details for you.

With the base game currrently Steam Deck Verified and rated Gold on ProtonDB, it remains to be seen how the update and expansion will change that. We'll know a lot more closer to release and I'll be taking a look to let you know what to expect. Although a lot of what's new will be paid content in the DLC they've said that the redesigned skill trees, overhauled police system, and vehicle combat will all be available for free as part of Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077!

The new skill tree offers a wide range of powerful abilities that will allow you to master new playstyles and create unique, meaningful builds. Phantom Liberty also introduces a densely packed new location, Dogtown, with endless dynamic events and missions, action-packed gigs, new clothing items, weapons, cyberware, and more to explore.

Also highlighted is the redesigned parks system, which shows off some new perks that open up more gameplay options, and interesting new ways to take down enemies. Thankfully both enemy AI and police AI have been improved, meaning everything is a lot more dynamic. Hopefully this means we'll see less of everyone just standing around lifeleslly, which was quite funny to see in the original. Police for example will now set up roadblocks, attempt to ram you off the road and more. Oh, and there's vehicle combat now too.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty releases September 26th and the 2.0 update a while before. You can pre-order on Steam, Humble Store (GOG Key) and GOG direct.

I've actually yet to play through it, so it seems like my waiting will pay off big time for this one to truly get a better experience overall. Are you also holding off?

A 30€ expansion for a 60€ game, alright. Maybe one day.
CP2077 currently 50% sale over at Humble, so that's something at least.

I would say they have fixed the driving on keyboard thanks to fans who did their job.

As for the dlc they said free dlc but removed the toilets dlc and i don't remember the other pic for the dlc.

But for this expansion they will never learn they just keep selling because their fanbase is full of people with an IQ=2

I agree the price is expensive it's like paying for the ultimate edition.

We should call this Todd Howard 16 Times Promise Edition

Don't buy the expansion might screw the performance again

Really looking forward to this one. I have mentioned this before, and don't want to sound boring, but the first one worked marvellously great for me. It wasn't a perfect game, but I also loved the story, the setting, combat, etc. Seeing they're expanding on this and improving what people didn't like, hopefully will get the game, and the studio, back into people's radars.

Yeah, the game has been fixed, bugs were rare in 1.6x and the game crashed on me only once in my over 60h play time. Glad I waited to buy it, hopefully the expansion won't be so buggy, but I'm going to wait until its a bit cheaper, it will give them some time to bugfix it. :)

I know, I know, this should have been a spelling correction, but I did actually get momentarily excited at the prospect of fancy new cyberpunk parks to spend some time in
Neon trees, holographic koi ponds, robot dog walking... We need more walking simulation in our action games!

Just finished Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for the first time. It was really good. So looking forward to more Cyberpunk :)

I've left CP2077 installed just for this… goodbye, family

I was not hyped for the original release it somehow flew under my radar. But I got it as a gift from my wife.

I really enjoyed it.

I also think that 30€ for an Expension is justified. With motion capturing voice acting and so on.

30€ is just 10€ more than a Diablo 4 skin. 😂
