Darkest Dungeon II added full Steam Deck support

By -

Want to jump into some Darkest Dungeon II? Well now it's easier than ever thanks to the addition of controller support and full Steam Deck support too. It's even now Steam Deck Verified. Thanks to the additions desktop players too can now kick-back with a gamepad, if that's your preferred input.

The update landed on August 17th adding in:

  • Added controller support:
    • Xbox and PS controller supported.
    • UI updates when using gamepad to accommodate controls.
    • Button legends added to indicate controls on screen.
    • Toggle-able “More Info” views the Character sheet and Combat when using gamepad.
    • Added additional UI feedback when selecting or focusing on UI.
    • Ability to swap between mouse + keyboard and controller.
  • Added full support to Steam Deck (we’re verified now!).
  • Oblivion’s Ingress has had its visuals updated to be more in line with the Oblivion’s Rampart.
  • Performance and optimization pass across many assets and areas in the game including The Tangle.

That, plus a whole bunch of balancing adjustments and other assorted additions to the game.

Nice to see plenty more developers work to improve their games on Steam Deck. Especially nice when they add in proper controller support that benefits everyone. For the Steam Deck the verification was done on Proton Experimental.

You can buy it on Steam.

Will I ever be capable of finishing the first game even without DLCs? Press X. I've lost the count of how many times I've started a new game but the game is awesome even if I'm bad at it. I don't know how is the secuel, has anybody tried it?

Quoting: Eribut the game is awesome even if I'm bad at it.
The beginning, the art style and the narrator are awesome, but it is a lot of grind with some grind on top.
