While we have DeckHD launching their higher-resolution Steam Deck screen replacement, we also now have JSAUX who have launched their own Steam Deck Anti-Glare screen replacement.
Unlike DeckHD, the team at JSAUX decided to stick with the normal 800p Steam Deck resolution. The only minor difference is that JSAUX claim their screen has 70% sRGB coverage versus 67% on the original. Could be a good little upgrade mod for anyone with a 64GB or 256GB Steam Deck to get the anti-glare screen.
A difficult mod to do though, that requires taking the entire Steam Deck apart. Not something beginners should think about, as a lot of small things can go wrong that could end up becoming a big expense. Even the JSAUX store page has a warning on this (nice to see).
Still, it's nice to continue to see more and more hardware mods appearing for the Steam Deck because of how open it is.
Available for $89.99 via JSAUX.
I guess at this point it would be more fun to just buy all parts with a custom shell, sticks and screen and build it yourself from scratch. But you can't buy all the parts, right? The last time I checked there was no way to get the main board and – what I was trying to find out more about at that time – no trackpads/haptic motors.

Oh, I see... yeah.
The Motherboard was sold once according to this article.

Would be neat if they had really all parts available.
Which makes me think, would an antiglare tempered glass do the trick without having to replace the screen if you want the coat on the mid and low models?
