Bloons TD 6 is an absolutely wonderful family-friendly Tower Defense game, and if you don't own it already you can grab it free on Epic Games and it works great on Linux.

Easy enough to download it and run it thanks to the Heroic Games Launcher too. And to test, since I already have it on Steam, their cloud login system perfectly synced my progress across so that was nice to see. Running it with Wine-GE-Proton8-13, which you can download directly inside Heroic has given a perfect experience on my desktop.

Bloons TD 6 is absolutely madness once it gets going. It's a weirdly theraputic game, watching various different types of balloons getting popped by monkeys. What a wonderful idea for a game. So simple but it's hard to tear yourself away from it once you get going, you just want to play one more map.

There's quite a lot of content you get with the game too, and it can be a thorough challenge on some of the later maps. Don't be fooled by the easy start on this one!

Go grab it free on Epic Games. Seriously do it, such a great game. Have enjoyed a lot of hours of this one, and lots of that in co-op with friends and family.

You can also grab Loop Hero free too, another great game!

I just can't support Epic, even if it's free.

I understand exactly what you mean, but your not really supporting them, rather just taking advantage of them. If they want to give away free shit, just take it and play it. The second they expect some compensation, just turn around. I don't like Epic too, but am happy to have played lots of good games they gave me for free via Heroic and I really don't see how that supports them in any way as I haven't given them a cent...that's my 2 cents :)

Do you have a creator tag with Epic Games, Liam? Apparently they might have some kind of affiliate program https://sac.epicgames.com/en-US/overview

I honestly think this is one if not the best tower defense genre there are out there. I used to play and got stuck for hours. It's also available on Android. I highly suggest it. :)

Well you still provide them the user numbers they're so unashamed to shill about this way, so...

What happened to the "if a product is free YOU are the product" mentality? :V

It is also funny to me that Linux users of all people being attracted to Epic. You know, the ones that are behind EAC and multiplayer games being difficult to work under Linux. The same guys that took Rocket League away from you and destroyed its Linux support. The same guys who work under a charlatan who claims he is saving the PC gaming when it is actually the complete opposite with its exclusives and such; and likens you using Linux to moving to Canada.

Even GOG is better than these guys, and all they practically do is more or less nothing. :V

Same here. No big fan of the policies and scared of the shady data security stuff / rumors. In the upcoming free games is "Orwell", which is kind of ironic.

Like it was since the beginning of Internet: if it costs nothing, YOU are the product.
