Oh hell! Time for another few runs then I think. Jupiter Hell, one of my favourite roguelikes with seriously slick movement design now has modding support. ChaosForge team, the developer of Jupiter Hell, gained recognition for creating Doom, the Roguelike (known also as DRL.) They built the Jupiter Hell as a spiritual successor to DRL.
For the Steam version it also now has Steam Workshop support, making it just a few clicks to add in some mods and there's already a few available including a Medic class, an in-game wiki, a Mega Challenge Pack and more. The developer is building up the documentation on how to mod Jupiter Hell on GitHub.
There's various other bits added in the latest update too including new exotic weapons, consumables and armour to find in the early game. New emails to read for some background info, and they've changed up how Easy mode works to reduce enemy damage but still give them good accuracy. Plus there's a good few tweaks elsewhere in the game.
If you've not played it and you're a roguelike fan, you're missing out. It's such a great mixture of action because of the way they've done the turn system, it doesn't really feel like it's turn based because it's so smooooth!
You can buy it on GOG, Humble Store and Steam. It's also 60% off on Steam until August 11th - cracking good deal that. It has Native Linux support and is rated Steam Deck Playable.
