Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart released back in late July and Insomniac Games / Nixxes Software have released another patch for it, which includes a fix for Linux gamers.
Even though it doesn't have official Linux support, it is fully playable with Proton and it is Steam Deck Verified. You don't often see dedicated fixes for Linux for bigger games like this, so it's pretty nice to see and continues to show how things are changing (thanks to all the effort from Valve).
From the v1.815.0.0 patch notes:
- Resolved a crash on start-up that could occur on Linux systems or configurations where NVIDIA Streamline is not active.
- Fixed an incorrect prompt display for the Chain Select option at Mrs. Zurkon when using an Xbox controller.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a visual jitter effect on water bodies and puddles.
- Various user interface improvements and bug fixes for Photo Mode and other in-game menus and popups.

On Steam it has gained a Very Positive user review score, so it seems like Nixxes did some great work on the Windows PC port once again like they did with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Seems like a pretty quiet Steam release though overall with only 8,757 players for an all-time peak and only just over 3,000 user reviews.
You can buy it on Humble Store and Steam.
NVIDIA, NVIDIA, NVIDIA!
you know what it means? steam deck uses AMD GPU, yet they fixed an bug that only affect linux on nvidia video cards...
the linux momentum is great right now

They keep alternating between doing things that make me want to give them money and things that make me want to blacklist them 😩
