Projekt Z: Beyond Order is an upcoming atmospheric first-person zombie co-op shooter set in WW2, in development by 314 Arts and a new trailer is live. They also mentioned late last year they have gained Modus Games as a publishing partner. It was also originally just called Projekt Z with it being renamed to Projekt Z: Beyond Order recently.

Nice to see they continued even after their Kickstarter failed.

More about it: "Projekt Z: Beyond Order is a first-person shooter set in a WW2 Zombie scenario on a secret German island. The game focuses on the threat of 'Projekt Z', a clandestine program run by the Nazis to turn Zombies, which have been discovered on the island earlier, into weapons to help turn the tide of the war in Nazi Germany's favor. On the Island, you will discover various other secret Nazi projects related and unrelated to 'Projekt Z'."

Speaking to the developer over email, when asking about their plans for full Linux support they gave a resounding "Yes! :)" answer so expect Native Linux support at release.

Quite keen to see how this one evolves, especially as it's not another straight-shooter, with elements outside of the exploration and survival with a hideout that you continually build up, which they say will be a little like Fallout 4's settlement building. However, there will also be a full story with multiple arcs to go through.

You can follow it on Steam.

I was sad when the kickstarter was cancelled. Glad the game is being developed though, really like a lot about it.

Looking forward to this. It'll be nice to have a scifi WWII game that doesn't suck (looking at the latest Wolfenstein games for contrast).
