Are you as excited as I am? Proton is already pretty amazing, but just think how many upgrades it will have between now and next year — it should run great. I'll be checking it out, will you be? I'm very curious to see how the Steam Deck and my desktop will handle it.

Definitely loving the recent trend of more ports coming to PC so we can all enjoy such games.

Woohoo! HZD was soo good! Next to Death Stranding and Cyberpunk one of the best games I've played in the recent years. Can't wait to continue the story in this fascinating world.
And I dream about Horizon VR: Call of the Mountain coming to PC (Steam) at some point as well.

It's not my sort of game, but Nixxes has already proven how good they are at Linux/Steam Deck support via Proton, so I'm sure that they'll do a good job here! Looking forward to seeing what they achieve with this one.

I'm going to get it for sure. HZD is a really great game and I was looking forward to Horizon Forbidden West. It figures in my top best games with Witcher 3, CP2077 and God of War... Spiderman not far behind.

Edit: ... With the late Lance Reddick... Liked him a lot in Fringe.

I don't know why, but the main character of this series just seems fugly and looks like a damn Neanderthal to me. But I also think that Bayonetta is kinda gross too. I don't want all female main characters to be objectifying or anything, but some of them are just meh. The same thing can be said about some male main characters too.

Though I also think that Dead or Alive Xtreme should be equal opportunity, and should have the men of the series in speedos as well. XD

Darn, this and Talos... Sequels are coming out but I haven't finished the originals yet 🥲

Sooo hyped, I've been waiting for it for a very long time. HZD was absolutely amazing!
This reminds me I never finished the original! I got about halfway through, then spent my time doing side quests and running around. Still a lot of fun! I'll probably get this one once I see how the port runs.

Considering my 1050 Ti just barely runs HZD comfortably, this one might be pushing the envelope a bit too far, but someday hopefully :)

I can kinda relate but most of the Internet finds her hot. That said, I actually quite like her design and plot-wise, it does make sense that she looks ugly
Spoiler, click me
since she does not have any beauty products to take care of her face.

HZD was good but now something I would play twice or after finishing the main campaign. I will however try this new one to finish the story

I feel you! I gave up on TTP at the time-shifting, it hurt my brain too much! Horizon I own and haven't even touched!

Alright, so given the original release of Forbidden West can run on PS4 I'm gonna say it'll be on par with Zero Dawn on Deck. Given this is Nixxes as opposed to Virtuous, who did Zero Dawn, it might be a bit better because... oh boy was Zero Dawn rough on launch.
The Burning Shores expansion might be an issue though as that was made for PS5 and has no PS4 version.

How about we stop commenting on their looks, it's just weird. I've already had to remove one comment that went way beyond what is acceptable here. Time for some people to grow up.

I don't see what's immature about it, but my bad. Wasn't the right place for it though, and I didn't mean to offend anyone. In fact, that's the last thing that I'd ever wanna do here. So sorry to anyone here that was offended if anyone was. 🖖

Weird. I have played it on my PS5 but stopped after 5-6 hours. It is kinda boring Sony adventure template with typical Open World “features”.

Wondering the same. Though if I remember correctly, the GOG release of HZD followed a couple months after it came out on Steam. So I guess there's still hope.
