Another fresh month and Valve has revealed what were the most played games on Steam Deck. Plenty of them are of course quite obvious based on what released recently.
With the list sorted by hours played top to bottom the Steam Deck top 20 for August 2023 are:

- ELDEN RING
- DAVE THE DIVER
- Stardew Valley

- Grand Theft Auto V
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Brotato
- Fallout 4
- Cyberpunk 2077

- The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

I have no doubt that Starfield will be appearing near-top of the list for September 2023, which Valve will give out early next month. Even though Starfield doesn't run particularly well on Steam Deck, plenty of people will be brute-forcing their way through it without a doubt.

Hogwarts played surprisingly well on the Deck. Not sure I'd want to play BG3 on it, though. The font seems to be small even on my desktop. Right now, I am playing Octopath Traveller II on the Deck and I am loving it!

BG3 works great on deck. They made a special interface for controllers, worth a try imo

Blasphemous. Great game to play on deck. Plus it is linux native.

Balder’s Gate 3 is playing very well on my Steam Deck. I dropped the settings all down to minimum but have been ratcheting up the ones that mean something to me; I’m now more or less on medium settings with little noticeable difference on framerate.
I’ve been playing 5e D&D for a few years now. Larian’s implementation of 5e mechanics is awesome. It’s the first RPG I’ve been able to get into, and will definitely help out my IRL weekly sessions. I am very impressed.

While it does seem to be given the 'first class citizen' treatment in terms of support it really isn't navtive, it runs through proton ( valves 'tuned' wine branch )

I think they're talking about the game, "Blasphemous"...?

I'm playing Isaac: Rebirth again on Deck now, and it's a blast after so many years.

Hades, some docked Halo... Not much time to play unfortunately.
I'm also contemplating an SSD upgrade, as current prices are relatively low.
