One of the best modern creature collectors released in recent years is Cassette Beasts, and it's set to expand next month on October 4th with the Pier of the Unknown DLC. Cassette Beasts has Native Linux support and it is Steam Deck Verified, made with Godot Engine.
The DLC will include:
- A spooky new location - Brightside Pier - which contains multiple attractions to explore!
- A new storyline to unravel!
- 12 new monsters that can only be found and collected within Brightside Pier!
- Five new character costume options!
With the DLC it brings the total normal monster count to 141, and with their unique transformation fusion system they said it means you can now see 19,881 different forms.

I somehow immediately thought of the theme park at the end of the eastern Brighton Pier.
Then I remembered the devs said they are from Brighton.
And it's called the Brightside Pier

I wanna vouch for cassette beasts, by far the best monster collector I have played; and my personal 2023 GOTY. I have this DLC ranked third on my wishlist, just behind silksong and UFO50.
You guys should play it!
