Fear the Spotlight from developer Cozy Game Pals is out now, inspired by the style of classic PlayStation games. If you love retro horror, this looks like one to add to your library and it has so far been gathering some rather glowing user reviews although it's only a couple of hours long.

More about it from the dev: "Fear the Spotlight is a third-person survival horror adventure with a PS1 inspired visual style. After a séance goes wrong, you have to solve puzzles, hide from monsters, and search an empty school for your missing friend.

A "cozier" horror game: no jump-scares, focuses on story, and builds a tense creepy atmosphere. If you're new to the horror genre, or are more of a scaredy-cat, we think you'd enjoy this play through."

There, fixed it for you!
Jokes aside, whenever I see a game that's more than 8 hours long, I can feel my work schedule - as well as my backlog - starring daggers at me.

This one looks particularly neat; nice visuals, music is more than just a Silent Hill-alike and the guarantee of no jump-scares (or "startlers", since there's nothing "scary" about them) is very enticing.

I'm a fan of horror games especially PS1 style. So far have played through about half of the game and I think the devs did a really good job with the audio and graphics. It looks retro without taking it too far, and the audio and voice acting is top tier. I generally prefer bite sized shorter games as well (when priced accordingly)
