A fresh week is here, it's Monday (I know, terrible right?) and you're in need of something new to get you through the week. So here's a whole bunch of newly Steam Deck Verified games to take a look at.

No Unsupported or Playable here, all listed games got the green steam deck verified Verified tick for Steam Deck. So this should work without any issues out of the box.

Asterogues

"Beat up planets in Asterogues, a cosmic bullet hell shoot-em-up hybrid! Pick your character from a band of outcasts banished to the Asteroid Belt, dodge and shoot your way through a brutal onslaught of bullets, and take revenge against the Solar System!"

Chippy

"Your purpose is to eliminate all pixel-based lifeforms by breaking off their limbs and destroying their cores. Compete to be fastest on the leaderboards, watch replays from other players to learn their tricks, or team up with a friend in local co-op."

El Paso, Elsewhere

"STAKES. GUNS. SLOW-MO. Fight werewolves and vampires in a reality-shifting motel. Dive through barricades to escape the grasp of evil puppets. Destroy the villain you loved. A new, third-person love letter to classic shooters. Neo-noir never looked so good."

Jazzpunk: Director's Cut (Native Linux)

"Jazzpunk is a comedy adventure set in an alternate reality Cold War World, plagued with corporate espionage, CyberCrime, and sentient martinis. Gameplay is inspired by spoof comedy films and cartoons of yesteryear, with a focus on weird gadgets, exotic locales, and open-world style exploration."

Monster Hunter: World / Iceborne DLC

This recently bumped up to Verified, and the developers even did multiple quick videos to celebrate being Verified.

"Welcome to a new world! In Monster Hunter: World, the latest installment in the series, you can enjoy the ultimate hunting experience, using everything at your disposal to hunt monsters in a new world teeming with surprises and excitement."

Saltsea Chronicles

"It begins with a kidnapped captain and a stolen ship. Where it leads next? That’s up to you… In this story-driven adventure game you will explore strange and wonderful communities, uncover a deep conspiracy, and chart a journey through twists and turns, difficulties and delights."

Spirited Thief (Native Linux)

"Scout, loot, and get out in Spirited Thief, a tactical turn-based stealth game with a twist. Search ahead as spirit, Trin, and grab the goods as thief, Elaj. Just make sure you have the loot before the guards come looking!"

Stick to the Plan

"In this game you can't pet the dog... because YOU are the dog! A relaxing and charming puzzle game about Roberto, a dog who really loves loooooooong sticks with a plan in mind."

Stranded: Alien Dawn

"Brave a new world in Stranded: Alien Dawn, a planet survival sim placing the fate of a small marooned group in your hands. Forge your story through compelling and immersive strategic gameplay as you make vital decisions to protect your survivors."

Honourable mention as not released yet: STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R (Releasing November 2nd)

"In this science fantasy RPG, choose between Claude or Rena, play through their perspectives, and unlock various endings. Recruit allies and defeat foes in fast paced real-time battles."

Good to see more games get tested before they release!

I very much enjoy run-downs like these - they always seem to lead me to games that I hadn't heard of before. Many thanks!

ooooo Spirited Thief looks like a great little game. The genre could definitely use some new ideas, and this looks like exactly that!

Whilst I did really enjoy playing Monster Hunter World a few years back, it kept doing updates where it did a big 90gb download so I had to uninstall it.
