Farming and dinosaurs, that's certainly an odd combination but Paleo Pines looks cute as heck and seems to be another nice title to add to your casual gaming collection. A sweet family-friendly game. The release comes with Native Linux support and it is Steam Deck Verified.

It has gained a Very Positive rating on Steam so it seems most players are really enjoying it. Good to see more developers also ensuring good Linux support with Steam Deck Verified too! I'll admit that this one somehow flew under my radar, with the release on September 26th and it seems a lot of other skipped over it too with less than 400 user reviews so far.
Available to buy on Steam.
I did notice the release. Then also noticed that they didn't bother to add key rebinding since the demo, so I skipped it.No key rebinds in a PC game release...in 2023? Wat.
Parasaurolophus was a duck-billed dinosaur with this big awesome crest coming up and back from the top/back of the head, that was like a hollow tube kind of thing with a round top. At the time I was a dinosaur kid, scientists thought maybe they used 'em to resonate and make really loud, resonant sounds. Like maybe it could sound like a tuba or something. It pains me to say this, because I want to be happy to see a purple dinosaur that isn't THE ONE WHICH MUST NOT BE NAMED, but Parasaurolophus was much cooler than that generic dinosaur. If they were gonna say parasaurolophus, they should have used one.

There is still enough left of my 8 year old self to insist that that dinosaur she's riding is not a parasaurolophus.

It's especially weird because in the video, at the 30 second mark, you can see someone riding what pretty clearly seems like it's meant to be a blue parasaurolophus.
Yeah, I also think the purple one is Carnotaurus or at most a Ceratosaurus. The second video on Steam clearly shows the blue Parasaurolophus. I think their stylized depictions (especially some feathered dinosaurs) look amazing. I'm telling all my dinosaur-friends about this. 😁There is still enough left of my 8 year old self to insist that that dinosaur she's riding is not a parasaurolophus.I was gonna say the same thing; it looks more like a carnotaurus with those horns.
