A freshly brewed Proton Experimental release just went out today which includes a bunch of fixes for various games. Here's your usual run over what's improved for Steam Deck / Linux desktop. This is the version of Proton that gets updates before the main stable version, which recently updated to Proton 8.0-4.
Noted as newly playable with this release is: Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes.
Here's the fixes:
- Fixed multiplayer in NASCAR Heat 5.
- Fixed issues with connecting to online services in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 (previously fixed in Proton Hotfix).
- Fixed Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways crashing on AMD GPUs (previously fixed in Proton Hotfix).
- Fixed Elite Dangerous crashing when opening external links.
- Fixed audio issues when playing intro video in Airborne Kingdom.
- Fixed Halo Infinite crashes on SteamOS Beta / Main.
- Fixed wrong scaling in MareQuest: An Interactive Tail and Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 on Steam Deck when set to fullscreen.
Changelog can be found over here.
It will just show up in your Steam Downloads as an update for Proton Experimental, as Proton updates just like games do, so keep an eye out for it. Want more info about Steam Play and Proton? Check out my beginner's guide.

Let me know what you think in the comments.
It's a shame that the servers and the way you create parties on this game is just garbage. Other than that, Trick Attack and Graffiti modes on this game are cool...
