Next on my list to complete once my current run through co-op Terraria is done with, Core Keeper is another wonderful mining sandbox adventure and the 1.0 release has now been set with a new content roadmap to Summer 2024.

The developers announced the news on Tuesday, along with a planned console release. In the announcement the developer mentioned they've now hit 2 million downloads too, so it has been rather popular.

Currently on their roadmap they have a Year-End Update coming in December as a minor update, a Lunar Update is February 2024 that will have seasonal content and other minor additions, a Language Update in Spring 2024 as another minor update and then the Summer Update in (you guessed it) Summer 2024 as another minor update before the full 1.0 release but they also teased there's "more to come".

Core Keeper is such a great game. Some Terraria+Stardew Valley vibes, challenging bosses and really fun if you like that kind of game.

It only lacks optimization. Damn, even with a 3070ti(Laptop) the game will be stuck on 50FPS no matter if you set the graphics quality to High or low.

Starbound... One that could have been for sure one of my favourites. I'm just sad to see the only one who still cares about that game is the community.

I feel fortunate not all devs are like those and we're having a good team behind Core Keeper. They've always put big effort on their game. And this kind of devs are the ones we need to keep enjoying them. :)

I'm also glad Terraria is getting some love too, even after all these years!
