I REALLY like that manager.
I do use GOG and EGS only occasionally, but want all my games on Steam - and Heroic has that nifty button that adds a game to your Steam library.

Gamescope! I've been waiting for that for a while now. I like using Heroic especially because they have Discord IPC, it was just missing gamescope for a while now (which is a very nice thing to have for my config).

Indeed, though it was already possible to use gamescope via a wrapper command; but having it as a properly exposed option is really nice.

For me, what's even more sorely missing for Heroic Launcher to fully replace Lutris is DOSBOX and SCUMMVM support (like gamescope, it's entirely possible to use them but the process requires some juggling around) and maybe also web/electron support as well. Also, LatencyFlex support, but that's a tad more involved because it needs some system components to be in place as well.

What do you mean by web/electron support?
You can watch Netflix and Disney within Heroic and it is build on this framework.

Huge fan of heroic.

Absolutely hated that it contains a store page, though. I vehemently dislike that one often has to install a shop on one's system just to be able to install a game one has already paid for.

Luckily it is open source; adapting the ui and repackaging heroic with said menu item removed is ludicrously easy ^_^

You can install games you own in your library in Heroic, no need to go to the store page for that.

You can remove the store button to the left, of course, but... does that really make a difference compared to just not clicking on it?

Yes it does. It's there radiating psychological pressure to click it ~_^

It's also not the only ui element I've tweaked.
Discord? No need for it.
Patreon and ko-fi? Noted heroic for my yearly round of open source donations, don't need permanently visible links to those in my launcher either, thankyouverymuch.
Little store icons spammed all over this beautiful launcher? Who the hedgefund thought that was a good idea? They can go as well.

And so on. It was done in a few minutes, and I get to feel all smug and happy about the benefits of using an open source launcher when seeing the cleaner version. A much better mindset to start a game with than being annoyed at the little bugbear store menu item.
